tips and suggestions

Hello folks!
I want to share with you a practice that I used in one of my class and the result was very good
dynamic and exciting my pupils learned and enjoyed a lot. So, I'm going to explain it:

We were working with "emotions" and together with these we worked again the question "How are you?"

The cards' presentation followed like that:

10 cards were put on the table (beaultifull blue flashcards)
Next step was to divide the group in 5 lines
One chance was given to each group in line to choose a flashcard, blind, without to see which emotion was there
For the students have the same chance to participate of this practice a resource was used:
A radio with a nice music, a good and old american funk, gave a hot balance to our class.
While the song was playing, an object acrossed one of the line (1 example) hand by hand of students, and when teacher pause the song, who was with the object is called in front of the classroom.
This student should choose a card
All of the group line ask him: "How are you?"
Teacher then show for them the face of emotion and ask in Portuguese: Pessoal, como é que o colega está?
In Portuguese people answer: Ele/a está... feliz! example
So, teacher say in English: Yeah, He/she is happy! the pupil repeat and after all the students.
It's repeated until finish all the blue flashcards.
Pay attention! The most interesting thing in this game are the faces in these emotions. The students loved, laughed and enjoyed each one of the cards.
bye, I'll send the material that we used soon!
